Friendship Group Outing to the Birds of Prey Centre, Newent

This September, our Friendship Group spent a wonderful day at the Birds of Prey Centre in Newent.

The main attraction was the animal encounters and bird displays, where the group had a chance to see the birds up close and also in flight.

Learning about the birds was fascinating!  The staff were extremely welcoming and made our day even more special!

As we toured the grounds, we were also joined by six very friendly Labradors, and enjoyed lunch in their delightful café.

Our Friendship Groups go on a wonderful trip outing on the second Monday of every month.  Recent trips have included Hopewell Colliery, Weston’s Cider and the Dean Heritage Centre.

We’re also in the process of launching a group in the south of the Forest of Dean district, launching this October.

If you are interested in any of the groups, don’t hesitate to contact us!  Send us a message on our website, call us on 01594 823414 or email admin@crossroadsfd.org.uk.
