Dogs for Good Launch

Dogs for Good, a social group for people living with dementia, their carers, family members and friends launched on the 30th of January.

It was a special occasion for all the wonderful dogs and their owners, who have undergone weeks of rigorous training to make sure that they were up to the job!

Everybody involved in setting up the group would like to thank the wonderful volunteers who made the opportunity possible.

Dog themed activities and games, including bingo, and a talk from a guest and her giant Leonberger, who was still just a puppy and full of energy made the afternoon a memorable occasion.

If you, or somebody you know is living with dementia and has a passion for dogs, please contact Crossroads to find out more information or come along to the sessions.  The next one will run on Wednesday the 27th of February, from 2-4pm at Drybrook Rugby Club.

Thanks to Steve Gaskin for the wonderful pictures.
