Day Centres
Crossroads Care - Forest of Dean & Herefordshire offers 2 established day centres. One in Lydney operating on Mondays and Fridays and one in Cinderford operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Both of our centres offer substantial respite breaks for Carers by catering for Cared for with mild to moderate dementia. They are staffed by our trained Carer Support Workers and aim to:
- Provide our Service Users with an interactive and stimulating day centre
- Promote, develop and maintain the highest attention to health and safety ensuring Carers can leave their loved ones with piece of mind
- Promote cared for and Carer involvement ensuring ideas and opinions form an integral part of the service using feedback to increase and enhance services offered
A typical day includes a range of social activities such as crafts, quizzes, games and reminiscence sessions.
Coffee and biscuits are served in the morning and afternoon and a 3 course meal is provided for a small charge.
Transport may be arranged.
